The enthusiastic participation in the discussion of AI during this month’s Tech Talk Time inspired me to reconsider having only one person present a tech talk on their desired topic.
I’ve been encouraged to consider having an open discussion where everyone could speak and share their perspective about their favorite topic. This would encourage more people to participate.
So…Going forward, that’s what we will do!
The November RTH Dinner Meeting is scheduled to be held at Bambu on Thursday, November 12, starting at 6:30 p.m. The table is the same one we had in September when we last met at Bambu…it’s outdoors with overhead heaters above the tables. Tech Time will begin at 6:30 p.m. Best to arrive early, as parking is scarce around that time. (This shopping center has recently attracted more new restaurants.)
I’m hoping that we have at least six people commit to attending, and the table can accommodate eight. With that in mind, I’ll make a reservation for 6-8 and request that everyone please R.S.V.P. before Monday, November 9th so Adam is able to stock-up on fish. He has been getting Mahi Mahi, Halibut and, sometimes, Ono but he needs to get his order in early in the week to be successful.
I look forward to having a great discussion on a variety of tech topics!
This November meeting will be the last one this year. The first meeting in 2027 will be in January on 1/12/27. I’m considering a new venue: Taprock Northwest Grill in Grants Pass, owned and operated by James Cartwright who also owns Cartwright’s Markets. They have a meeting room that can be closed-off so we can have a quiet atmosphere to hear the discussion. The challenge is: we must reserve well in advance. This Conference Room is made available at no cost to us, but we need to be clear on the headcount. Please give some thought to traveling to Grants Pass for an early evening meeting and then traveling back to your home at 8:00 at night before you plan to attend.
